My brother Shawn Mueller is a talented motorsports photographer and he needed a logo and watermark to brand his images. Shawn’s work puts the focus on the subject, for his logo I wanted to put the focus on him. By taking the framing focal lines you see when looking thru the camera viewfinder and putting Shawn’s name inside the frame, I literally did just that. My goal in making the logo into a watermark was to not distract from the subject of the image but to work with it. By stripping away all but one of the framing lines and placing them in the corner, the watermark leads the eye into and through the image. This allows Shawn flexibility in being able to place a watermark in any of the corners depending on how it works best with the image focal point.
